Château de Labastide-Murat stands in Cœur de Causse (Lot), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: third quarter of the 19th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
This château in the Lot department owes its existence to Joachim Murat, born in this village and later king of Naples, who had it built from 1807 for his family. The building, designed by Parisian architect Étienne-Chérubin Leconte, is one of the rare examples of neo-classical style in the Quercy region. The interiors retain decoration in Empire and Second Empire style, while the grounds were laid out by Paul de Choulot in the latter half of the 19th century.
