In Couzou, on the Gramat limestone plateau, the château de la Pannonie stands on the site of a former Cistercian monastic grange destroyed during the Hundred Years' War. The 15th-century stronghold was later fitted with gun towers during the Wars of Religion, then extended with successive wings up to the 18th century. Visitors can see a 19th-century decorated salon and furniture once belonging to Marshal Soult, along with a set of paintings brought from the château de Saint-Sulpice in 1780.
