To make a day of it

Château de Lussan stands in Lussan (Gard), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, 16th century, 17th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Standing at the entrance to the upper town of Lussan, in the Gard department, this fortified château built at the end of the 15th century still shows the defensive character of its square plan flanked by four round towers. Inside, a first-floor hall keeps painted beams from the 17th century, depicting cupids, figures and landscapes. The building, which has survived largely intact, now houses the Lussan town hall.
