Château de la Motte stands in Sagonne (Cher), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 14th century, 15th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

In Sagonne, in the Cher department, the château de la Motte stands on the site of a 14th century feudal mound that once served as a lookout post for the château de Sagonne below. The present building, a rectangular three storey structure served by a square stair tower, was built between the late 15th and early 16th centuries. A horseshoe shaped tower, partly demolished, recalls its defensive origin, and the site is still surrounded by water filled moats. The interior layout and original timber roof framework have been preserved.
