What the French Ministry of Culture records
Le château, mentionné dès 1455, se compose d'un petit logis caractéristique des maisons fortes et nobles bâties dans les dernières années du 15ème siècle et au début du siècle suivant. Il s'élève dans une petite enceinte semi-circulaire entourée d'un large fossé en eau. Il s'agit d'une construction en pierre, couverte par une haute toiture en tuile. Elle adopte un plan rectangulaire, compact, à trois niveaux desservis par une tour d'escalier carrée. La tour en fer-à-cheval, en partie rasée aujourd'hui, constitue l'élément défensif de la maison. La demeure a conservé sa distribution d'origine ainsi que sa charpente à chevrons-portant-fermes et la plupart de ses aménagements de confort.
