The Château de Keruzoret stands in Plouvorn, in Finistère, on a site first built up in the early sixteenth century by the Kersaintgilly family. Its present appearance owes much to the 1865 to 1887 campaign led by Parisian architect Henri Parent, who reworked the whole in a neo-Gothic and neo-Renaissance idiom while keeping the sixteenth-century staircase. The irregular U-shaped plan, the polygonal stair tower and the corner pavilions reflect this layered history between the old manor house and its nineteenth-century remodelling. A chapel and a dovecote, both older than the main building, still stand nearby.
