To make a day of it

Château de Lanniron stands in Ergué-Armel (Finistère), in the Bretagne region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, fourth quarter of the 17th century, 18th century, 19th century). Adult admission costs 10 EUR. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

On the banks of the Odet river, at Ergué-Armel, the château de Lanniron stands on the site of the former summer residence of the bishops of Cornouaille, dating back to the 15th century. Its present façade, in neoclassical style with Ionic columns, dates from a major rebuilding in the early 19th century. The estate keeps its terraced gardens laid out from the late 17th century onward, including old ponds such as the Neptune basin, among the rare surviving examples of this period in western France.
