What the French Ministry of Culture records

Situé au nord du village, le château actuel est dû au prince de Condé qui l'a fait reconstruire dans les années 1760-1770 dans un style néo-classique. Les aménagements hydrauliques du parc datent du 17e siècle (propriété de Toussaint Roze, secrétaire du cabinet de Louis XIV). Vers 1770, Condé installa une manufacture d'indiennes dans les dépendances du château profitant de la rivière toute proche pour son énergie motrice. C'est le début de l'activité industrielle dans le village. Les dépendances ont été remaniées à la suite d'un incendie en 1829 et aménagées en logements au 20e siècle.
