Le nom de Chantecaille apparaît pour la première fois en 1409, et devait dès l'origine être une dépendance de Talcy. L'ensemble est construit au 15e siècle pour être une ferme. Au 17e siècle, la maison fut agrandie et couverte en ardoises. Le bâtiment central est surélevé, les ouvertures du corps de logis principal et des constructions annexes sont modifiées. L'aménagement du jardin et des terrasses datent de cette époque.
