The château de la Grenouillère is an 18th century bourgeois residence set in the Loire valley between Suèvres and Mer, some fifteen kilometres from Blois. The lordship is recorded as early as before 1500 and passed through several families, including the Baudet and then the Court family from 1674. Surrounded by a moat and set within a twelve hectare park, the estate remains private property today, its grounds now home to a campsite.
