The château de Brugny stands in the commune of Brugny-Vaudancourt, in the Marne department, built on the remains of a medieval stronghold of which only a square tower and moats survive. Of the four original wings surrounding a quadrangular courtyard, only two have endured through the centuries, reworked in the 16th century. What sets the site apart is an unusual continuity of ownership: since its first mention in the 13th century, it has never been sold, passing instead from family to family through marriage down to the present day.
