To make a day of it
Château de Baye stands in Baye (Marne), in the Grand Est region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: first half of the 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Château de Baye, in the Marne department, is known above all for its 13th-century chapel, whose stained-glass windows rank among the oldest in the region. Built and reshaped from the Middle Ages through the 18th century by the various families who held the lordship, the building was substantially altered in the 20th century when it became a Foyer de charité retreat house. Only the Saint-Alpin chapel has survived the centuries largely untouched, with windows depicting the Passion of Christ and the Tree of Jesse.
