Château de Boussay stands in Boussay (Indre-et-Loire), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century, 17th century, 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

What the French Ministry of Culture records

Châtellenie qui relevait de la baronnie de Preuilly. Le premier seigneur connu vivait en 1190. En 1533, le château se composait de quatre corps de logis entourant une cour centrale et entourés de douves franchies par un pont-levis. Au 17e siècle, l'aile nord fut abattue et reconstruite en respectant une tour cylindrique qui contenait un escalier et une tour carrée couronnée d'un chemin de ronde avec mâchicoulis. A la même époque, l'aile méridionale et une partie de l'aile occidentale furent supprimées. Il ne subsiste que la grosse tour d'angle carrée avec son chemin de ronde et ses mâchicoulis décorés d'une arcature tréflée. Le pont-levis fut remplacé par un pont dormant. Au 18e siècle, toute l'aile orientale fut abattue et remplacée par un grand corps de bâtiment. Un pavillon de même élévation le prolonge au sud. A l'est du château, une avant-cour est limitée par les communs, flanqués extérieurement de deux tours cylindriques.
