What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château d'Haroué a été construit par Germain Boffrand entre 1720 et 1732 pour Marc de Beauvau-Craon, grand connétable de Lorraine. Boffrand intègre dans la nouvelle construction les éléments subsistants de l'ancienne forteresse de Bassompierre. Les grilles sont dues à Jean Lamour et la statuaire à Barthélémy Guibal. A l'arrière du château, parc à la française et vaste perspective paysagère.
