On the outskirts of Livarot-Pays-d'Auge, the Courson manor house stands on a ridge between two small valleys feeding into the Touques river. Built mainly during the second half of the 15th century, it is notable for its polygonal stair turret, topped with a corbelled wooden roof and a carved gable. Nearby, an old feudal mound points to a lordly presence dating back at least to the 13th century.
