To make a day of it

Schlösschen Schönburg stands in Hofgeismar (Landkreis Kassel), in Hesse, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Schlösschen Schönburg is a small early neoclassical palace built in the late eighteenth century on the edge of a former spa park at the outskirts of Hofgeismar. Commissioned for Landgrave Wilhelm IX, later Elector Wilhelm I of Hesse-Kassel, it served as his summer residence beside a park that still holds a pond nearby. Part of the original interior decoration survives, including the elector's bathroom, along with a staircase added in the early 1820s.
