Schloss Wörth an der Donau stands in Wörth an der Donau (Landkreis Regensburg), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Set on a hill above Wörth an der Donau, this large Renaissance-style Schloss still carries the outward look of a fortress, despite centuries of rebuilding from an earlier 10th-century refuge stronghold. Held for generations by the prince-bishops of Regensburg, it served as their summer residence before passing through a range of very different uses in the 20th century. Visitors can still see the 1525 main gate flanked by two artillery towers, along with a 1605 outer gatehouse bearing a prince-bishop's coat of arms.
