To make a day of it

Schloss Wolsfeld stands in Wolsfeld (Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm), in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.

Schloss Wolsfeld stands at the heart of the village of Wolsfeld in the Eifel region, on the site of an earlier manorial house reshaped over several centuries. Its present form dates largely from a 1605 rebuilding in the late Renaissance style, later extended with Baroque additions and more recent alterations. The interior preserves notable features, including an early 17th century kitchen with a vaulted hearth and bread oven, along with carved chimneypieces bearing the arms of former owning families. A careful restoration under way since 2007 has uncovered earlier remains, among them a fragment of a 15th century spiral staircase.
