Schloss Holsthum, also known as Herrenhaus Laeis, is a manor house erected in the late 18th century in the village of Holsthum, in the Eifel region. Its eight-bay rendered facade, topped by a slate mansard roof with a half-hip, reflects a dignified rural residence rather than a fortified castle. The present building was put up in 1789 by an estate administrator and his son, with the consent of the baroness who owned the land. Today it is best appreciated from outside, within its village setting.
