Schloss Tiefenau stands in Wülknitz (Landkreis Meißen), in Saxony, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Tiefenau stands at Wülknitz, in the Landkreis Meißen, Saxony, on an estate first recorded in the 13th century under the names Nova Aedifica and later Castrum. The baroque manor house itself was built from 1704 by Count August Ferdinand von Pflugk, a senior courtier under August the Strong, and completed around 1710 by his widow Elisabeth Friederike. The manor building no longer stands, having been demolished by explosives in 1948 after wartime destruction, yet the wider estate, including its baroque church, outbuildings and park, has survived and is now protected as a Kulturdenkmal. The chapel, built between 1716 and 1718, houses an organ from Gottfried Silbermann's workshop, restored since 1997.
