Schloss Schaumburg stands in Balduinstein (Rhein-Lahn-Kreis), in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 10th century. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Schaumburg Castle rises above the Lahn valley south of Balduinstein, on a site fortified since the early Middle Ages. What visitors encounter today is not the medieval stronghold but the neo-Gothic mansion shaped by Archduke Stephen of Austria in the mid 19th century. Its west front, flanked by two corner towers, conceals a grand hall left as an unfinished shell since 1855, never completed by any later owner. The estate once drew European nobility together, before passing through several sales and an unrealised redevelopment plan.
