To make a day of it
Schloss Otting stands in Otting (Landkreis Donau-Ries), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Otting stands on slightly raised ground at the edge of Otting village, near the Nördlinger Ries, on the site of a medieval Burg that no longer survives. The present building dates from 1610 and passed through a long succession of noble families, including the Schönfelds, who became Counts of Otting and Fünfstetten in the 19th century. Heraldic gravestones of these former owners can still be seen, along with the Mater dolorosa chapel, built in the 18th century and once a notable pilgrimage site in northern Swabia.

- The gatehouse (Torhaus) is at risk of collapse, and responsibility for its repair remains unresolved due to an ongoing legal dispute.
- The Mater dolorosa chapel has belonged to the Otting parish since 1930.
- The site is listed as a Baudenkmal in Bavaria.
