Burg Treuchtlingen stands in Treuchtlingen (Landkreis Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.
Burg Treuchtlingen, also known as Obere Veste, stands on a rocky spur above the town of Treuchtlingen at the edge of the Altmühltal nature park. Long left to decay, the ruin was restored and partly reconstructed from 1975 onwards by a local heritage association. Visitors can still make out the remains of the residential tower, the fourteenth-century ring wall, and the broad terraced outer courts below. The extent of the modern rebuilding is quite visible in the stonework, which has made the site a frequent subject of debate among castle historians.
