Schloss Langenstein stands in Orsingen-Nenzingen (Landkreis Konstanz), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Recorded dating: 11th century. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Langenstein Castle stands on a limestone ridge in the Hegau region, between Stockach and Singen, in Baden-Württemberg. A keep raised around 1100 by Reichenau Abbey still forms the lower part of the main building, which was largely constructed between 1570 and 1605 around a square tower and later extended by the so-called Neues Schloss, linked by a connecting wing. Since 1906 the estate has served as the main residence of the Douglas family, descendants of a Scottish field marshal who entered Swedish service in the seventeenth century. The grounds also include a golf course laid out in the late 1980s, and for decades housed a carnival museum, moved since 2018 to a new building nearby.
