To make a day of it

Tudoburg stands in Eigeltingen (Landkreis Konstanz), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Tudoburg is a ruined spur castle perched above the Krebsbachtal in the Hegau region, close to the hamlet of Honstetten. Its remains fall into two separate parts: a large outer bailey roughly 136 by 36 metres, now used as pastureland, and a much smaller core fortification cut off from it by deep ditches that heighten the sense of a defensive outcrop. Visitors can still make out earthen ramparts, the footprint of an old tower, and the massive north wall of the hall building, built to the scale of a shield wall.
