To make a day of it
Jagdschloss Grünau stands in Neuburg an der Donau (Landkreis Neuburg-Schrobenhausen), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Jagdschloss Grünau stands in the largest continuous floodplain forest of Central Europe, a few kilometers from Neuburg an der Donau. Count Palatine Ottheinrich had it built from 1530 for his wife Susanna von Bayern, first as a tower-like core building, later extended with wings around a large courtyard by 1555. Originally designed as a moated hunting lodge, it still preserves inside a largely intact room layout from its construction period, including wall paintings mostly attributed to Jörg Breu the Younger. The building today houses a research institute on floodplain landscapes and hosts cultural events.
What to know

- No opening hours or admission fees are given in the verified information.
