Wasserschloss Sandizell stands in Schrobenhausen (Landkreis Neuburg-Schrobenhausen), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Wasserschloss Sandizell stands in Sandizell, a district of Schrobenhausen in Bavaria, on a site first recorded in 1007 as an estate belonging to a convent in Neuburg. The present building, rebuilt between 1749 and 1755 by master builder Johann Puchtler after Swedish troops burned down the complex during the Thirty Years' War, still retains an eastern wing dating from the 16th century. The castle remains a private residence today, divided between two owning families, and is not open to visitors in the usual sense. The nearby parish church, connected to the castle grounds by a passage, houses a high altar by Egid Quirin Asam and the tombs of the counts of Sandizell.
