The Burgstall Haidau marks the site of a former moated castle, a Wasserburg, that no longer stands, located near a mill on the Pfatter river in the hamlet of Haidau, part of the municipality of Mintraching. It was built in the early 13th century by the Regensburg patrician Ortlieb von der Heide and later served for centuries as the seat of a local court before being destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. Today only an archaeological ground monument remains, with soil traces still outlining the former stronghold.
