To make a day of it
Schloss St. Emmeram stands in Regensburg (Regensburg), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
St. Emmeram's Palace stands in the centre of Regensburg on the site of the former Benedictine abbey of St. Emmeram, which passed to the House of Thurn und Taxis during the secularisation of the early 19th century. Its present appearance is largely the result of building work carried out in the late 19th century, including the complete rebuilding of the south wing in Neo-Renaissance style. The complex also includes a Neo-Gothic funerary chapel where members of the princely family are buried, and a 19th-century riding hall decorated with reliefs by the sculptor Ludwig Schwanthaler.
This place also features in The castles of Empress Sisi
