Wiesenburg Castle stands above the Mulde valley on the edge of Wiesenburg, now part of Wildenfels in Saxony. The present building combines remains of a medieval stronghold, including a section of the round keep, parts of the surrounding wall and a moat, with a 17th-century rebuilding that produced the half-timbered inner courtyard and the octagonal gate tower. Once the seat of a lordship covering some twenty villages, it passed through several owners before being bought by the municipality of Wildenfels from private hands in 2024. The castle is not open to visitors.
