The Edelhof Alberoda, also known as Wasserburg Edelmannsteich or Wallteich, stands in the Alberoda district of Aue, in the Erzgebirgskreis, in Saxony. First recorded in 1424, the present building occupies the site of a moated fortification dating back to around 1200, built to guard the old Bohemian road linking Zwickau and Hartenstein. Parts of the moat remain on the west, north and east sides, while the southern section was filled in.
