Burg Uttum, in Krummhörn, in the Landkreis Aurich, in Lower Saxony, no longer stands as a building: this former Frisian stronghold of the Beninga chieftains and the noble families who later held it was torn down towards the end of the 18th century. What remains today is the outline of its moats and earthworks, still clearly visible south of the church of Uttum, along with a larger, trapezoid ditch system that once enclosed an outer bailey. A modern house now stands on the site of the former keep. Several coats-of-arms and memorial stones of the former lords are kept in the nearby church.
