Burg Tierberg stands in Braunsbach (Landkreis Schwäbisch Hall), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Recorded dating: 13th century. No visits are on record for this building.
Burg Tierberg stands on a rocky spur overlooking the Hohenlohe region, near Steinkirchen, a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Braunsbach. Built in the 13th century for the lords of Langenburg, it retains an almost square keep nearly 26 meters tall set into an 18-meter shield wall, a defensive arrangement designed to offset the castle's lower position relative to the surrounding plateau. Over the centuries the castle became a hunting lodge for the House of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, and its history includes repeated sales, a lawsuit, and even a private feud known as the Tierberg Feud. Visitors can still make out the successive enclosing walls, the outer and inner baileys, and secondary buildings such as the Jägerhaus.
