To make a day of it
Burg Landsöhr stands in Bad Boll (Landkreis Göppingen), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Recorded dating: 16th century. No visits are on record for this building.
Landsöhr Castle, also known as Landseer Castle or Bertaburg, is a ruined spur castle above Bad Boll of which only earthworks remain. What can be seen on the ground today are two ditches that once marked off the main castle area and its outer bailey, the buildings themselves having long since disappeared. Local tradition links the site to Berta von Boll, said to have had her widow's residence here, though whether it stood on this spur or lower in the village is uncertain. Visitors mostly come for the hillside walk on the Kornberg rather than for standing remains.
