Burg Bubenheim stands in Nörvenich (Kreis Düren), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 13th century. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Burg Bubenheim stands on a small wooded island amid the open farmland near Rommelsheim, in the Kreis Düren, close to the old road linking Aachen and Frankfurt. This moated manor house was held for centuries by noble families of the Rhineland, first the Bubenheim lineage and later the Spies von Büllesheim, before passing to the Schmitz-Peiffer family in 1935. Repeated alterations mean its former outer bailey, to the west, can barely be recognized today. Remains of the earthen rampart that once ran in front of the moats can still be traced along the north and west sides.
