Burg Boulich stands amid open fields near Wichterich, a district of Zülpich in North Rhine-Westphalia. This former moated manor may take its name from the Romano-Celtic term Bulliacum and once belonged to the Abbey of Prüm. Today only part of the water-filled moat survives, along with the remaining outer walls of the former manor house, destroyed during the Second World War and now topped by a modern farm shed.
