Château Raba stands in Talence, in the Gironde, rebuilt in 1783 by architect Victor Louis for widow Raba and her eight sons, merchants from a Bordeaux Jewish family originally from Bragança. Once nicknamed the Bordeaux Chantilly for the splendour of its grounds, the estate is marked by the wide pillared balcony crowning its main façade. After decades of decay, the property underwent a full restoration and now houses upscale residences within a wooded park.
