Château Magne stands in Trélissac (Dordogne), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: third quarter of the 19th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
In Trélissac, in the Dordogne, château Magne was built between 1864 and 1869 for Alfred Magne, son of Napoleon III's finance minister, in a neo-seventeenth-century style. Its construction required moving the nearby village, and a large landscaped garden with a game park surrounded the building. Converted into a hospice in 1929, the château has kept an interior close to its original state.
