What the French Ministry of Culture records

Très tôt, la commune est un passage historique sur la Somme. En 1619, Georges de Valpergue fait reconstruire le château de Suzanne sur une terrasse dominant les marais de la Somme. En 1625, Louise de Valpergue épouse Louis Ier d'Estourmel. Leur fils, Louis II, élève deux pavillons rectangulaires en retour d'équerre en 1678. En 1748, d'autres travaux sont exécutés par Marie-Anne de Maizière, épouse de François Louis d'Estourmel. Le château, qui n'eut pas à souffrir de la Révolution, fit cependant l'objet d'une restauration, presque d'une reconstruction, dans la seconde moitié du 19e siècle, à partir de 1855, par le marquis Henri d'Estourmel, avec emploi du "motif rustique" semblable à celui du Palais du Luxembourg. Tout ceci contribue à donner une allure Louis XIII à ce château complètement remanié au 19e siècle. Endommagé pendant la première guerre mondiale, le château fut à nouveau restauré. On remplaça alors les quatre colonnes baguées qui encadraient la porte d'entrée par deux pilastres.
