Overlooking the marshes of the Somme river, the château de Suzanne owes its present appearance to a rebuilding campaign begun in 1855 by the Marquis Henri d'Estourmel, on the foundations of a house built in 1619 for Georges de Valpergue. The outcome, a Louis XIII style reworked in the 19th century with rustic decoration similar to that of the Palais du Luxembourg, conceals much older building phases, including two pavilions added in 1678 by Louis II d'Estourmel. Damaged during the First World War, the building still shows traces of successive repairs, particularly around its entrance door.
