Château de Long stands in Long (Somme), in the Hauts-de-France region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 18th century, first quarter of the 19th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Standing on a terrace above the canalised Somme river, this eighteenth-century château of pink brick and white stone was built for Honoré-Charles de Buissy from 1733 onward, following plans inspired by architect Charles-Étienne Briseux. The carved wings of the main façade, the twenty-hectare park with its old greenhouses, an octagonal dovecote and outbuildings form an ensemble that has survived largely intact through several changes of ownership. Coats of arms of the successive owning families can still be seen carved into the façade.
