What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château est construit sur un terre-plein entouré de douves en eau. Il se compose d'un corps central, partie la plus ancienne, flanqué de deux ailes en retour d'équerre. De chaque côté de la façade du corps central se dresse une tour couronnée de mâchicoulis. Les ailes sont reliées au corps central par un pavillon. Une tour carrée s'élève à leur extrémité occidentale. La façade sud de l'aile nord est percée d'arcades du 19e siècle. Malgré quelques remaniements, ce château conserve les caractéristiques architecturales du début du 17e siècle. Sa construction de briques s'intègre à l'architecture traditionnelle solognote.
