Château de Rozay stands in Saint-Georges-sur-la-Prée (Cher), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: fourth quarter of the 15th century, first half of the 16th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
On the left bank of the Cher, in Saint-Georges-sur-la-Prée, the château de Rozay keeps the layout of a late-medieval fortified house: a moated quadrangular platform, round corner towers and a plain main building whose only ornament lies in the window mouldings. Built around 1500 for the Sardé family, it has kept its rural Berry character through later interior changes. It is privately owned, cared for by an association, and is not currently open to visitors.
