What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château existant dès le 14e siècle, ayant subi de gros travaux au 15e siècle. C'est un édifice quadrangulaire à trois étages surmonté de combles, dont l'angle nord-ouest forme un recoin en partie occupé par une tour carrée contenant un escalier à vis. Deux tours rondes arasées à la Révolution, flanquent la façade sud. Un chemin de ronde en brique et pans de bois est encore visible ainsi que des consoles de hourdage. Au sous-sol se trouvent les vestiges du donjon primitif. Au premier étage, une grande salle est entièrement décorée de peintures à motifs floraux et végétaux imitant la tapisserie, datant sans doute du 19e siècle. Une chambre dite de François Ier possède un plafond du 17e siècle.
