What the French Ministry of Culture records

Edifice particulièrement représentatif des demeures seigneuriales de l'Amiénois aux 17e-18e siècles. Il a été reconstruit en briques à harpages et chaînages de pierre, à partir de 1681, sur l'emplacement d'une ancienne maison seigneuriale. Le corps central flanqué de deux ailes en retour d'équerre a été prolongé, au nord et au sud, de deux ailes plus basses au cours du 18e siècle. L'édifice présente la particularité d'avoir été construit avec des pierres extraites d'une carrière creusée sous la cour d'honneur actuelle, d'où un affaissement du sol à cet endroit, notamment au niveau des deux bâtiments de communs du 19e siècle qui encadrent la cour.
