Built in the eighteenth century by Nicolas de Herté, this Somme château exemplifies aristocratic residential architecture of the period. The rectangular main block, flanked by two wings in alignment, displays the symmetrical composition characteristic of its time. Thirteen painted overdoors designed by Raoul de Pibrac adorn the salons and bedrooms: these decorative panels rank among the surviving works of this artist, comparable only to those he executed for the Académie des Jeux Floraux in Toulouse.
