What the French Ministry of Culture records

Nicolas de Herté (1709-1778) fit construire ce château. Bâtiment rectangulaire, flanqué de deux ailes en alignement, avec un étage entre rez-de-chaussée et grenier, surmonté d'un toit en ardoises. Dépendances à l'est et à l'ouest du château formant cour. A l'intérieur, présence dans les salons et les chambres de 13 trumeaux au-dessus des portes, réalisés par Raoul de Pibrac (1852-1937) , les seuls qui subsistent encore en place avec ceux que l'artiste réalisa pour orner à Toulouse les salons de l'Académie des Jeux Floraux (1906).
