Built under Louis XIII, it long served as a residence for private families and officers from Moulins before being purchased by the town. Its park, planted with a century-old plane tree and a cedar of Lebanon, is also the starting point of the Yzeure 2000 walking trail. The building now houses the town's youth service and displays a collection of over 250 rooster figures.
