What the French Ministry of Culture records
A la Révolution, le château se composait de quatre corps formant quadrilatère, avec cour centrale. Un pont-levis reliait le château à la ville, tandis qu'un pont en maçonnerie permettait l'accès au parc. Seule l'aile gauche subsiste aujourd'hui, avec galerie d'arceaux surbaissés et chapiteaux ornés d'hommes et d'animaux. La construction de cette aile pourrait être due à Charles II d'Albret.
