What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château comprend deux corps de logis en équerre, reliés par une tour ronde à demi engagée. La porte d'entrée se trouve au bas de la tour, avec montants moulurés reposant sur des bases prismatiques. La porte est surmontée par une accolade et un fronton orné de fleurons, accompagné de chaque côté de pilastres. Les pièces du château sont ornées de cheminées en pierre. Au 15e siècle, le vicomte de Turenne était haut justicier du village et ce jusqu'en 1738, époque où le roi de France acquit la vicomté.
