Château de Mailhoc stands in Mailhoc (Tarn), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, 16th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
Set among the hills of the northern Albigeois, this fifteenth century château retains the look of a fortified house built near the former border between the French and English crowns. Four round towers flank an almost square main building, remodelled during the Renaissance by a Protestant leader who softened its defensive lines. The inner courtyard shows round arches and a grand double flight staircase covered with ribbed vaults.
