Mauriac castle stands amid the Gaillac vineyards, in the commune of Senouillac in the Tarn. Founded in the 13th century by the Templars and extended in the following century, it retains a 400 m² inner courtyard lit by eight mullioned windows and a facade flanked by two towers pierced with arrow slits. Since the 1960s, painter Bernard Bistes has lived there and displays his work in the rooms of the house.
