To make a day of it

Château de la Bonnette stands in Senouillac (Tarn), in the Occitanie region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

Set on a limestone spur above the village of Senouillac, in the Tarn department, the Château de la Bonnette retains the four-wing layout around an inner courtyard dating from its construction at the very start of the 16th century. The building is notable for the dovecote towers flanking its courtyard of honour, an unusual arrangement, and for the seigneurial chapel fitted into the upper floor of the south-east tower. The Italian-style terraced gardens and the boxwood parterre created under the de Paulo family step down the southern side of the estate. The 19th-century farm buildings, stables and wine cellar, reflect the site's later conversion into a wine-growing estate.
